Water Treatment Technology
Devco arranged the execution of a successful demonstration of electrochemical
water treatment technology as a chemical water treatment replacement solution
in a large industrial cooling tower located at an industrial park in Taiwan.
Electrochemical water treatment offers a viable alternative to many conventional
chemical water treatment techniques used in industrial cooling tower applications
and makes many applications possible that have not been feasible with chemical
technologies. Environmental concerns or problems are greatly reduced if there
is no chemical residual in the discharge from such systems. In addition, there
is no possibility of chemical burn to workers, accidental spills, or damage
to the components of heat exchange systems from misapplication of chemical agents.
In all cases, the present value of capital and operating expenses is dramatically
less than with conventional chemical applications.
